Treatments

Sclerotherapy

The most common treatment that effectively treats varicose and spider veins. It’s often considered the treatment of choice for small varicose veins. It is generally done using a salt solution that is directly injected into the vein, which causes the abnormal vein to seal shut.

Endovenous Laser Therapy

Utilizing a very small optical fiber that is inserted into the vein, a laser light at the end, shines light which causes the vein to contract and close, and the optical fiber is slowly withdrawn sealing the abnormal vein shut.

Radiofrequency Ablation

Using a very small catheter inserted into the problem vein, radiofrequency at the end of the catheter is delivered to contract the collagen in the vein walls, causing them to collapse and close. After the vein is closed the treated vein is gradually absorbed into surrounding tissue.
